17 Ranch is proud to announce our new stallion, Bob’s Golden Acre.
We are very meticulous when it comes to choosing the right stallion for each mare, as the mares have always been the base of our program.
An outstanding individual with exceptional disposition and conformation, we hope you will agree through his progeny that he proves that he is a sire not just another stallion and outproduces himself.
Disposition and trainability are a must. Conformation and the athletic abilities go hand in hand.
We are optimistic that we have found such a sire in Bob’s Golden Acre. He is an own son of a Hall of Fame horse named Bob Acre Doc, who won over $400,000 in cutting and is still #16 in the Equistat All-Time Leading Sires of Cutting as of 2011.
On the dam’s side, he goes back to Hollywood Gold (of the Four Sixes) through A Hollywood Lynx (by Doc’s Lynx x Guthrie Susan) and Leo Bingo by Leo.

Cats Highlight is a sorrel stallion by High Brow Cat and out of Almost Starlight by Grays Starlight. His sire High Brow Cat is a great leading NCHA sire which has lifetime earnings of over $110,000 and offspring earning in excess of $12 million, including numerous champions.
His dam Almost Starlight is an NCHA money earner and AQHA open performance points winner that qualified in the AQHA Open and Youth Cutting World Show. She is by the great sire Grays Starlight, a leading sire of aged event money earners, exceeding $9 million and ranks as one of the top 15 All-time Leading Cutting Sires and has sired multiple champions.
Cats Highlight’s pedigree has one of the most impressive female lines in the industry. His brothers and sisters in bloodlines have been outstanding performers and one of them was Highlight Cat, the Non Pro NCHA Futurity Reserve Champion. Cats Highlight exemplifies the exceptional, all-around versatility shown by the offspring of his sire High Brow Cat.
Beginning as a two year old Cats Highlight was trained as a reining horse, before being shown he was taken to a different trainer and was put on a cow. He exhibited excellent grace, style, and ability. Unfortunately because of a divorce the owners then did not show him in either disciplines and put him up for sale, his show career was cut short. The 73 Ranch purchased Cats Highlight and since then Cats Highlight has been put back on cattle and has been taken to some jackpot team ropings. He won a buckle at his first jackpot in heeling.
What Cats Highlight lacks in his show record, he makes up for as a sire. His offspring are powerful athletes with great dispositions and promising futures. Cats Highlight has the impressive tendency to out produce himself, with gorgeous foals. His first foal crop will be of performing age in 2007 and excellent to train. The future soon will become now for horses sired by this awesome stallion. Cats Highlight is regally bred on both sides of his pedigree and is poised to continue a legacy of excellence through his offspring in the performance arenas.

CGOS PEPTO QUIXOTE -- affectionately known as “Chigger” is a bay roan stallion by Peptoboonsmal and out of Otro Mundo by Doc Quixote.

She is an own daughter of Doc Quixote, who ranks in the top 10 of All-Time Leading Cutting Sires, with offspring earnings in excess of $8.4 million and Maternal Grandsire of over $12 million. Chigger’s second dam is an own daughter of Sugar Bars, making him a very versatile and beautifully bred individual.
Since his few shows last year he has exceeded all expectations in the cutting pen and won over $3000 in NCHA earnings. Chigger was the 2005 year-end MCHA $1000 Novice Horse winner and third in the MCHA $3000 Novice Horse. His full brother is a Superior Reiner and stands at the Babcock Ranch in Texas. Although Chigger’s striking color is the first thing to catch your eye, he also has a great mind, good bone, and awesome athleticism, which he is showing in his foals. Chigger is still being shown and his offspring will be coming of showing age in 2007. Chigger’s great personality and ability is showing in his foals and he should produce some awesome future cutters, team penners, working cowhorses, and reiners.
NCHA MONEY EARNER
$3000+ and is still being shown.

Randle Doc, unfortunately was never shown. He was being trained for the cutting futurities when an unfortunate accident caused him to lose one eye, thereby ending his chance at a career. One look at his pedigree, and you can see what a true loss this was. Not only was his sire Doc O'Lena, legend for being the first horse ever to 'sweep' the NCHA Open Futurity Championship, but his dam Freckles Randle is an impressive producer on her own, with an offspring earnings of $72,684. Just look at his family's stats (below), including his four full brothers and sisters.
